Fall 2026 intern

Andrea Torres is a dance and performance artist from New Orleans, Louisiana. She trained at the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts, where she majored in Dance. She received her B.F.A. in Dance Performance from Columbia College Chicago. During her time in Chicago, she performed works by Merce Cunningham, Timothy Buckley, and Bob Eisen. Andrea continued her training in South Korea, studying a range of street styles with a focus on break dance. She most recently made her professional theatre debut as Veronica in MFer With a Hat and as Dance Caption in Jagged Little Pill at Redhouse Arts Center. 

Andrea has worked in the Syracuse public and private school system as a Dance Educator and Arts Administrator. She is passionate about integrating arts education into academic learning. After moving to New York City in July of 2026, she joined the Arts Administration team at EMERGE125 and is enthused to begin her journey into the Dance and Arts Education community in NYC.
