Briana Marsiello

Briana Marsiello, originally from northern New Jersey, attended the Bergen Performing Arts Center under the artistic direction of Roberta Mathes until graduating from high school.  She went on to further her training at Montclair State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2019, receiving her BFA in Dance Performance. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, she had the privilege of performing in works by esteemed choreographers such as Fredrick Earl Mosley, Maxine Steinman, Kathleen Kelly, Jessica DiMauro, and Robert Mark Burke. Her summers were spent studying under Parsons Dance, Peridance Blueprint Intensive, and the EMERGE125 Summer Workshops performing works by David Parsons, Alice Kloch, and Tiffany Rea-Fisher. Upon graduation, Briana went on to present her own choreographic work “Cherish” at the 2019 Steps Beyond Foundation's Performance Lab Showcase. 

As a Dance Educator and NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Briana has blended her years of dance experience with her passion for Anatomy and Kinesiology to create an environment where movement is efficient and enjoyable for every body. With 7+ years as an educator, she has taught for established companies such as Anna Kaiser Studios, Xponential Fitness, Arthur Murray Dance Studios, and The Core Place. Briana has also enjoyed extending her knowledge to younger generations through Strength & Conditioning master classes. Recently, she was invited back to her alma mater as a teaching artist for their 2024 Alumni Week.

Briana joined EMERGE125 in 2023 and is currently in her second season with the company. Throughout her time with the company thus far, she has been honored to perform in venues such as “Flowers After Hours” at the  National Gallery of the Art in Washington D.C., Gian Carlo Menotti’s “The Unicorn, the Gorgon, and the Manticore” at NYU Skirball Center alongside the New York Choral Society and Experimental Orchestra, as well as the company’s season at The Flea Theater. Most recently Briana toured  with the company throughout their 2024 EMERGE125 Alaska Tour, where she had the opportunity to perform, teach, and participate in community outreach events throughout ten cities.  Briana is excited to continue sharing her passion for dance through her work with EMERGE125 this season and beyond.
