In March 2016 Classical Theater of Harlem commissioned Tiffany to create the choreography for their Summer 2016 production of Macbeth. Collaborating with theater in this way was a first in the company’s history as several of the company’s dancers were brought in to perform alongside CTH’s actors. Tiffany’s choreography created and enhanced the other-worldy-ness of the witches, visions and dreams that are central to the play as well as the grandeur and emotions conveyed first by King Duncan and later King Macbeth. This production marked a pivotal change in how Tiffany viewed what dance is, how it is consumed, and ultimately what dance could be. The production was free and open to the public. Tiffany, along with Director Carl Cofield and Costume Designer Rachel Dozier-Ezell were all nominated for VIV/AUDELCO awards which celebrate Black Excellence in theater. This would be the first of many collaborations between Tiffany and CTH Artistic Director Ty Jones.
