ANTHEM by EMERGE125

Anthem is a digital musical offering from EMERGE125 for Juneteenth. This heartfelt piece was created as part of our upcoming film, Rights of Renaissance, premiering on June 25th with Harlem Stage (@harlemstage). The song weaves Lift Every Voice and Sing with the Star-Spangled Banner to convey the duality of being Black in America, a concept introduced by Executive Artistic Director Tiffany Rea-Fisher (@treafisher) during our residency program at HiARTS (@hiartsnyc). This project commemorates the centennial of the Harlem Renaissance by highlighting how far we have come and how far we have to go.
