Erik Osterkil | Company Dancer
Erik Osterkil is a dancer and choreographer from Fort Wayne, Indiana. He started dancing at the Fort Wayne Dance Collective, and continued his training at the Academy of Movement and Music, the Hubbard Street Youth Dance Program, and in the Lou Conte Dance Studio Scholarship Program. In 2021, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase College, with a concentration in Dance Composition and a minor in Arts Management. Erik had the opportunity to study abroad at the Taipei National University of the Arts, and he has also trained and performed at intensive programs such as Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, the Joffrey Ballet School, the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, and b12 Berlin Dance Festival. As a guest artist and a student, Erik has performed in works by José Limón, Jerome Robbins, Norbert De La Cruz III, FLOCK, and Doug Varone, as well as in several classical ballets and other contemporary dance works. Dennzyl Green | Company Dancer
Dennzyl Green, 24, was born and raised in Long Beach, California where he was a performing artist for over a decade. His college career began at California State University, Sacramento where he performed repertory by Dr. Linda Goodrich in Fall Dance Sites Concert 2015 and in the S/BAD concert of 2016. He graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts, Dance, Cum Laude 2020. During his college career, had the opportunity to perform various repertories by the faculty and guest artists such as Recent Arrival by former Artistic Director of Limón Dance Company, Colin Connors, and an excerpt of Doug Varone’s In the Shelter of the Fold- MASS. Dennzyl began his professional career by joining Nannette Brodie Dance Theatre from 2017-2021 where he toured throughout Southern California and neighboring states. The company performed in a variety of venues such as local schools, fashion shows, California State University, Long Beach, and Temecula Theatre. In 2021 he was a collaborator on two dance films and created one within Nannette Brodie Dance Theatre, Elucidators. The second film How to Raise A Black Man in America was a semi-finalist in the Phoenix Shorts Film Festival and chosen for the Portrait Festival in Bulgaria. Lastly, the third film Balance on That is currently a finalist in the Paris International Short Festival. As of June 2020, Dennzyl joined Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble as a member of the Second Company- Cleo II. During his time he performed repertoire of Cleo Parker Robinson, Milton Meyers, Nejla Y. Yatkin, and guest artist Amalia Viviana Basanta Hernandez. In Fall Concert 2021 at the Ellie Caulkins Theatre, he had the honor of apprenticing with the first company to perform the world premiere of Four Journeys choreographed by Amalia Viviana Basanta Hernandez. As of January 2022, he is now a member of EMERGE125 and is full of excitement to be a part of an active and vital company in New York.
Anna Ticknor | Calendar Assistant
Anna Ticknor is a dance artist and arts administrator based in New York City who has recently graduated with honors with her BFA as a dance major at George Mason University School of Dance. As an arts administrator, She has worked multiple art festivals including the 2021 Spring Festival at Kaatsbaan Cultural Park in the Hudson Valley, in New York State, the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art’s Time Based Art Festival in the fall of 2021, and is a member of the box office and Front of House staff at New York Live Arts. Additionally, Ticknor is a freelance grant writer and has assisted in fundraising $45,000 for Shaun Keylock Company in Portland, Oregon where she works as a Development Associate. In fall of 2021, Ticknor began her work with EMERGE125 as calendar assistant and part of their teaching faculty.
