At MODArts Dance Collective’s ninth annual Move to Change Dance Festival EMERGE125 will present an excerpt from 2026 work:

KINETIC DISSENT

Protest lives in the body before it becomes a slogan.

Beginning as breath, tension, and the instinct to move when stillness is no longer bearable, Kinetic Dissent traces gestures of resistance across time, cultures, and geographies. Arms raised. Feet grounded. Voices carried through flesh.

The work reveals protest not simply as a moment, but as a human reflex—as natural and necessary as breathing.
