Tiffany Rea-Fisher is the Artistic Director of EMERGE125. As a dance choreographer, educator, curator, and leader, Rea-Fisher has been honored with a National Dance Institute Artist-in-Residence (2024), Toulmin Fellow (2022) and Toulmin Creator (2021), National Dance Project Awardee (2021), Artist-in-residence at The Flea (2021-2024), APAP Leadership Fellow (2016-2020), and former Director of Lake Placid School of Dance (2017-2023). She has also curated the annual Contemporary Dance series at Bryant Park Picnic Performances since 2014, providing free access to art for thousands of audience members while exposing upcoming and established artists to a wider audience. Rea-Fisher has been commissioned by Dance Theater of Harlem, Dallas Black Dance Theater, NYC Department of Transportation, Utah Repertory Theater and more, while her choreography has been produced at the Joyce, the Apollo, Joe's Pub, New York Live Arts, and more. Rea-Fisher was the first dance curator for the New York interdisciplinary arts organization The Tank, where she now sits on their Board of Trustees. She is also a COHI member of the International Association of Blacks in Dance, as well as an Advisory Board member of Dance/NYC. She has been a dance instructor at Steps on Broadway since 2016, and previously at Joffrey Ballet School (2012-15).

Rea-Fisher has been a resident choreographer with the Classical Theatre of Harlem (CTH) since 2016. Her CTH productions include Othello (2026), MEMNON (both the 2025 Uptown Shakespeare in the Park production at Marcus Garvey Park as well as the 2024 Getty Villa production in Los Angeles), Twelfth Night (2022), Seize the King (2021). A Christmas Carol in Harlem (2018 and 2019), The Three Musketeers (2017), and more. Outside of CTH, Rea-Fisher has choreographed The Public Theater’s Public Works production of Pericles at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine (2025) as well as The Tempest at The Delacorte (2023). Additional recent choreography collaborations include Gun & Powder (Paper Mill Playhouse, 2024), Sounds of Hazel (with Dance Theatre of Harlem, 2022, and also named one of Pointe Magazine’s Top 12 Performances of 2023), and more. She is an 8-time AUDELCO Award nominee and recent The Bessies Steering Committee member.

In her role as community leader and activist, Rea-Fisher is currently the Executive Director of the Adirondack Diversity Initiative, an organization working to make the Adirondacks a welcoming and inclusive place for both residents and visitors. She is the co-organizer of the annual Juneteenth March, begun in 2020 during the George Floyd protests. For her community work, Rea-Fisher has received a Spirit of John Brown Freedom Award (2022), a Creatives Rebuild New York award, and a citation from the City of New York for her cultural contributions. She subscribes to the servant leadership model and uses disruption through inclusion as a way to influence her company's culture.

In the ten years under Rea-Fisher’s artistic leadership, E125 has remade itself into one of the most innovative movement arts companies in New York City and has expanded its partnerships with institutions like Classical Theatre of Harlem, Stars of Tomorrow, National Dance Institute, Public Works, Repertory Company High School for Theater, and many more. E125’s 2026 season will also feature a collaboration among Rea-Fisher, the California Grizzly Alliance, and vildwerk., an environmental awareness non-profit organization. In 2023, the company was awarded a Mellon Foundation Grant.
