Homecoming of the Unforgotten (Excerpt)
Once a symbol of California’s wild abundance, the grizzly bear was hunted to extinction in the name of expansion and control. This work traces that history while imagining the bear’s return. Rewilding becomes more than ecological; it is an act of memory, reckoning, and hope.
